About us

Vec Eclatineers was created with the objective of providing a space to foster creativity. We aim at multifaceted development of our students. From writing, sketching, poetry to digital art we give our students a platform to showcase their brilliance. Our magazine thus intends on aiding our students in their process of self-exploration. Here we offer a glimpse into the magic that erupts when technology meets arts. The term ‘Eclatineers’ was coined by blending the words eclat and engineers which comes to mean a brilliant,flamboyant and an exuberant display by engineers and that defines our objective. We therefore strive towards the holistic development of our students.

Patrons

Dr.B.Chidhambara Rajan was born at Ambasamudram, Tirunelveli. He obtained his Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communications engineering, Masters degree in Microwave & Optical engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University and a Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai. He has 34 years of teaching experience in government and reputed private institutions. He is a member of professional societies like IEEE, IETE, IEI, ISTE, CSI, ISOI, etc. He has published several technical papers in national and international journals and conferences. Presently he is also serving as member of National Executive Council of ISTE, Chairman of Kancheepuram Chapter, Computer Society of India (CSI) and Academic Council advisor of National Cyber Safety and Security Standards.

Prof. Dr. M. Murugan is an accomplished academician and administrator with over 33 years of experience in teaching and leading academic departments. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, specializing in Microwave, and has authored several textbooks in the field. Throughout his career, he has held various positions, including Principal & Professor in the ECE Department at SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Chennai.

Dr. S. Visalakshi is an experienced academician and administrator with 23 years of experience in teaching and administration. She holds a Ph.D. in Power System Deregulation from Anna University.  She is currently serving as Vice Principal at SRMVEC and is also the Head of the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.  She has been recognized as a Research Supervisor by Anna University so far  3 Ph.D. scholars  have completed their Doctorate degree under her guidance and she is currently guiding 4 others. Her research interests include Power System Restructuring, Electrical Machines, and Renewable Energy Systems. With over 60 papers published in reputable international journals and conferences, she also holds two patents.
