JOY OF HOPE

PRATHISHWAR A R

II EEE

It is commonly believed that love is the highest of all qualities, but I think it is hope, nourished by faith, that holds the greatest significance. Here it is our time to reminisce our past, realize our weakness, relinquish our mistakes, leave our hostility behind, carry forward our decency, and continue our hope for the goodness of humankind with a heart full of humanity, love, joy, kindness, empathy, integrity, and generosity. If the past doesn’t unfold as we hoped, then “look forward to the future” is the best mindset to embrace. Remember, circumstances don’t determine where we end up; they only mark where we begin, and now is where our new circumstances take shape! Is there a better circumstance than the New Year to set new goals, make new resolutions, embrace new opportunities, and be ready to relive with the joy of hope? Celebration is a tradition that has its own value, reason, and a way to add variety to life. The culture of celebration may defer but the impetus is the same and now the day has come when we celebrate to build a strong sense of hope, to bring people together, and strengthen our emotions. Motivation is very important to people as much as fuel to a vehicle, to maintain focus, and to create positive behaviour. Here comes that day which gives us immense motivation to run along the whole 365 days. Appreciation and thanks are as important as all these realizations, changes, celebrations, and motivations. So, today is the day to appreciate ourselves for our achievements, which made everyone happy and proud, and let us thank everyone who pushed us on the track whenever we derailed. When the clock strikes midnight and the calendar turns out a new page with a joyful “Yes, here is New Year’s Day!”, we see every face filled with excitement and a mouth full of Colgate smiles ushering in the year by shaking hands and uttering “Happy New Year!”. I wish everyone a great year ahead with a great attitude to have from dusk to dawn.
