FERDINAND PAUL. S
I ECE – 1
In April, our college had the distinct pleasure of hosting an enlightening workshop on Model United Nations (MUN). This workshop, conducted by a reputed MUN organisation, offered students an invaluable opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of diplomacy, international relations, and global issues.
The workshop included a variety of activities designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of MUN. These activities ranged from detailed explanations of the MUN process, to practice sessions, and live interactive sessions. Each segment was tailored to equip the participants with essential skills and knowledge to excel in MUN conferences.
Here are some heartfelt reviews from our enthusiastic delegates:
Each participant walked away with a wealth of new information and an enhanced skill set. Ferdinand Paul from ECE 1 highlighted how the workshop improved his general knowledge and debating prowess. Similarly, Deshma P. and Divadharshini S., both from ECE 1, found the sessions to be energetic and enlightening, giving them a better grasp of current global affairs.
Michael Kevin from IT 1 found the workshop particularly educational and felt it significantly improved his debating skills. Bhavana from EIE appreciated the deep dive into researching various countries, providing her with a practical understanding of the role of a UN delegate. The participants also expressed their sincere gratitude to Dr. Sheeba Manodh for her exceptional coordination of the event. They also conveyed their sincere appreciation to Dr. M. Chithra, FYCC/HOD, English, for her steadfast support.
Overall, the MUN workshop was a resounding success, inspiring and educating our students about the intricacies of global diplomacy. This event not only enhanced their academic knowledge but also fostered essential life skills such as research, public speaking, and critical thinking. We look forward to more such enriching events in the future.
