II CYS

When I stood before this sky,
where day slowly surrendered to night,
I saw something more than just a sunset.
The rays of light,
piercing through the dim horizon,
reminded me of life itself
how even in moments of darkness,
there’s a direction,
a purpose.
Sometimes, I feel lost,
like the shadows stretching quietly across the earth below.
But then I realize
those shadows exist
only because something within me still shines.
Even when my world feels quiet,
still,
uncertain…
there’s a silent strength rising in me,
like those soft beams reaching into the unknown.
The fading orange glow reminds me:
endings aren’t failures
they are transitions.
The most beautiful changes
don’t happen in the brightness of day,
but in the stillness of transformation.
And the sky whispered to me:
you don’t need to be perfect or bright all the time.
You just need to keep rising,
even in pieces,
just like the light does
one soft ray at a time.
