CSE II, I Year
The permanent solution that the current generation of students has for any and every problem is ‘suicide’. A big and grave step taken by many these days, school students, college students, NEET aspirants, and many others. After such a big decision what exactly do they feel? Do they feel free from all their problems? Do they regret doing it?
Many such questions arise when people commit suicide but the only people who knew the answer can now no longer answer us. It doesn’t matter who they were, how they were, or where they were.
There has been a study that says more than 8 million people die by suicide every year. And the majority of them are aged between 15 to 29. When engaging in deep conversations with individuals who have survived suicidal thoughts, many express relief that they did not follow through, while others regret their decision. The primary reasons for these feelings often stem from financial hardships, relationship breakdowns, family issues, bullying, peer pressure, societal pressure, and a variety of other challenges.
People these days must have to understand that suicide is not an actual option. Facing problems, sufferings and humiliations is a part of life. People leaning towards suicide must understand this first. Living through such hardships is one of the most beautiful things. Two things are really important for someone with suicidal thoughts. Firstly, learning to ignore and differentiate. People say things all the times and it’s highly significant to distinguish what matters and what doesn’t. Secondly, saying NO to things that you don’t want to do and don’t feel comfortable doing.
As family, friends and community we should constantly support one another and this would help us offer help to people who need it and most importantly at the right time.
Similarly, people inclining towards suicide must live for people who love them and care for them. Because taking their own life doesn’t just affect them, it also leaves an impact on all those who love them, effectively taking away a part of their lives as well.
“LIFE is an one-time act, BIRTH the beginning, DEATH the ending and LIVING is that beautiful act in between which is meant to be enjoyed”.
So live healthy and enjoy every moment.
