II CSE – 2
Now that we are in college isn’t it time to think about us and our dreams? What exactly was our real dream? Whose life are we living? Is it ours or our parents or that of others? What actually defines the true self of a person?
Now, we are in the exact place that provides answer to all these questions. There are many fascinating aspects of college that we often overlook and don’t take the time to explore.
Student’s Mentality:
Many students these days have become void of any true responsibilities. They fail to acknowledge their true self and their creative abilities and thus fail to achieve anything truly successful. Students should become more open to learning new things and should stop being swayed by trivial distractions like games, series, reels, etc.
Excitement is crucial for learning new things and enhancing your creativity. Without excitement, you might as well just finish your whole college life and still may not learn anything worthwhile. So, always be open to changes. There might still be a lot waiting for you to learn and your mere lack of excitement might stop you from realizing your true potential.
Obstacles:
There are many things you will be interested in in your college life that will often sway you away from your duties as a student like mobile, gaming, movies, series, and much more. Engaging in activities like these triggers the release of dopamine and endorphins, which are “feel-good” hormones. This can lead many students, often without realizing it, to drift away from their areas of expertise due to carelessness. As the brain relaxes, these hormones can dominate our behavior, driving us to do things that we know aren’t beneficial. Some people even become addicted and face health issues due to excessive involvement in these activities.
It’s not that these activities are designed to distract students from their studies. They are meant for entertainment and recreation. What matters is how we use it and let us remember to use it wisely.
True College:
College is meant not only for studies. College provides us with a space to explore ourselves – to come out of our boundaries and to grow. College helps us prepare for the real world by exposing us to its challenges and difficulties. Its true purpose is to teach students about these hardships and facilitate personal growth. Students need to learn to communicate effectively with others and build their networks. Networking is one of the most important and crucial skills. The most successful people in the world are only those with networks and connections. Listening, understanding, and working along are the key skills that students should develop while in college.
Students should focus on developing themselves. Students should enjoy what they are studying rather than considering it a burden. Be excited about learning new things. College isn’t so boring once you start learning. Learning is fun if you start exploring. Try to learn from everything you do. Everything has its own value and plays a crucial role in your success journey.
